CSD All-State football player Brandon Albert commits to Lafayette College

On Monday, Community School of Davidson football standout Brandon Albert announced his commitment to attend Lafayette College and play for its football team, which is a Division I FCS program in the Patriot League. Albert's next school is located in Easton, Pennsylvania.

Albert is the son of CSD head coach T.J. Albert. He is listed at six feet tall and 185 pounds.

The class of 2025 athlete made HighSchoolOT's 2023 All-State Football Team as a First Team Two-Way selection. He had 183 carries for 1,195 yards and 20 touchdowns as a rusher, 95 receptions for 1,012 yards and 12 touchdowns as a receiver, and 96 tackles with a sack and three interceptions on defense.

He is both one of the top returning 2A rushers and one of the top returning 2A receivers for the 2024 season. He is currently playing for CSD's 17-2 overall lacrosse squad.

Over his recruitment, Albert also picked up offers from Yale, Cornell, Pennsylvania, Dartmouth, Brown, Princeton, and Davidson.

Community School of Davidson finished the 2023 season with an 11-2 overall record and won the Football Only 1A/2A Conference. The Spartans fell to Forest Hills in the third round of the N.C. High School Athletic Association's 2A West playoffs.
